Robert Emmett Fletcher Jr, SD (26.07.1911 – 23.05.2013)

Good people always holier than any government

If you believe governments are in any way superior to the best human beings, I invite you to read the life of this man:

Bob Emmett Fletcher (Wikipedia)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bob_Emmett_Fletcher

A decent synopsis of his contribution to humanity goes like this: in the middle of World War II, Bob Fletcher quit his job as a state agricultural inspector, in order to manage the farms of three Japanese neighbours in California, who had been sent to internment camps by the US government.

He tended their crops, paid their taxes and mortgages, and slept in the bunkhouse, refusing to reside in the main house, even though he could, because it wasn't his.

For three years, he kept 90 acres of farmland productive and profitable, even endured racist criticism, and being shot at once, while he was inside the barn.

When the Japanese families returned, they found half of the profits from the farms deposited into their bank accounts, and their houses were even cleaned for their homecoming.

All 193 UN member governments, the United States government included, which sent its own innocent, law-abiding citizens into concentration camps just like Hitler, have never done a single unselfish act for any citizen or family like this simple man, and he seriously helped three families when most Americans didn't even care!

And by the way Teresa, Bob's wife, helped him also. She didn't divorce him!

Where are the saint couples of the Roman Catholic church?

Show me one!

That tells you something about religious tribes also. They are no better than states or countries with how they treat real and very holy people.

Because of all this, on 8 June 2022, Robert Emmett Fletcher Jr, SD (26.07.1911 – 23.05.2013), and Teresa Cassieri Fletcher, SD (07.03.1924 – 21.11.2014), became the 7th and 8th full Cesidian saint respectively, and the first Cesidian holy couple.
